Fostering Digital Literacy and Wellness within the Community

Telin introduced the Sahabat Pintar program at the Cilebut Bogor Learning House and the Canari Foundation in South Tangerang. These establishments, managed by Telin employees, serve as halfway houses and orphanages. The program aims to enhance digital wellness as part of Telin's commitment and focuses on improving the well-being and future opportunities of children, aligning with the organization's comprehensive approach to digital wellness.

Fostering Digital Literacy and Wellness within the Community

As technology continues to advance, digital literacy has become a critical skill for adults as well as children. At the same, it is also important to learn how to navigate the attendant risks and safeguard individual digital wellness.

Recognizing the significance of digital wellness, Telin initiated the Sahabat Pintar (Learning Buddy) CSR program as part of our social campaign called #TelinforCOMMUNITY.

Last year in August 2022, Telin demonstrated a #TelinforCOMMUNITY activity to support the environmental sustainability by holding a mangrove planting and beach clean-up event on Tanjung Pakis beach, in Kabupaten Karawang, West Java.

With the aim of empowering communities to thrive in the digital era, the Sahabat Pintar program helps to provide essential knowledge and skills through educational activities performed by Telin employees. These activities focus on enhancing digital literacy and promoting wellbeing and serve as a testament to Telin's dedication to equipping individuals and communities with the tools they need to navigate the digital landscape successfully.

A Chance for Telin Employees to Contribute Meaningfully

In addition to making a positive impact on the broader community, the Sahabat Pintar program offers Telin employees a valuable opportunity to actively engage with local communities and serve as facilitators for the program. This direct involvement allows employees to make a meaningful difference and contribute to the program's success.

Over the course of the next six months, the Sahabat Pintar programs will be executed intensively every Saturday. This program will provide a thorough comprehension of digital ethics, safety, cultures, and advanced digital skills for all participants, and empowers individuals to navigate the digital landscape responsibly and securely.

Through the #TelinforCOMMUNITY social campaign, Telin empowers both individuals and communities to flourish in the digital era, all the while advocating for a secure and responsible digital environment for everyone.
