From where we stand, 2023 has been a fast-paced year of continued acceleration not just for Telin, but for our customers all over the globe. Digital infrastructure, customer experience, digitalization and cybersecurity were some of the top challenges that businesses and governments continued to grapple with.
At Telin, we doubled down on adjusting our offerings and improving our service through ongoing development and deepened partnerships, in order to better serve and support our customers to get the results they need.
We are incredibly grateful that Telin’s continued push for excellence has been recognized by multiple awards 2023.
Prestigious Global Industry Awards
At the Carrier Community Global Awards 2023 held in June, Telin won two awards for Asia Regional Operator of the Year and CEO of the Year at the Carrier Community Global Awards 2023 in Berlin.
Subsequently in November, Telin was named as the Best Asia-Pacific Carrier at the Global Carrier Awards 2023 held in London. Telin stood out among subsea cable operators as the only provider offering a direct route between the USA and Southeast Asia via its self-owned and operated Indonesia Global Gateway (IGG). This strategic route bypasses earthquake-prone areas, offering enhanced reliability and performance.
In addition to its robust infrastructure, Telin has introduced innovative digital platforms such as NeuTrafiX, which has reinvigorated the wholesale trading industry by automating the interconnect process, thus enabling voice, SMS, and virtual number buyers and sellers to connect digitally.
All this took place under the leadership of Telin's CEO, Budi Satria Dharma Purba. His visionary approach has driven Telin to achieve more, from expanding its robust digital infrastructure to partnering with global OTTs, which significantly elevated Telin's position in the industry and augmented its global footprint.
Exemplifying Excellence for Indonesia
Within Indonesia, competing against 104 State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) from a wide range of industry, Telin received two awards at the 12th Anugerah BUMN 2023 for Best Company in Talent & People Development and Best CEO in Talent and People Development for CEO Budi Satria Dharma Purba’s commitment to global talent growth and strategic programs.
Separately, at the BUMN Branding and Marketing Awards 2023, Telin clinched the Marketing Award in Technology Advancement and Global Branding and Strategy Award. These efforts were led by Kharisma, Telin's Chief Marketing Officer, who was named as the CMO of the Year, crediting his innovative strategies, leadership acumen, and collaborative teamwork.
Under Kharisma’s leadership, Telin’s marketing mix have been continuously adjusted with the goal of optimally meeting customers’ needs. Supporting this, internal team competencies have all been deepened for improved sales capabilities, streamlined commercial processes, and elevated account manager proficiency.
Being Shortlisted
In 2023, Telin not only garnered awards but also earned numerous shortlisted nominations across prestigious recognitions.
Earlier this year, at the PTC Awards 2023, Telin received nominations for the Outstanding Submarine Network Company Award, highlighting its strides in network infrastructure, and the Outstanding Carrier Solutions Provider Award, affirming its standing as a leading provider of telecommunications solutions.
At the Carrier Community Global Awards (CCGA) shortlisted Telin for its excellence in Best Voice/Data Service Innovation, Best Security Solution Provider, Best Innovative CPaaS Provider categories, showcasing the company’s commitment to cutting-edge services, and the People & Culture categories highlighting Telin's dedication to supportive workplace culture.
Furthermore, at the Global Carrier Awards (GCA), Telin's shortlisted categories included Best Marketing Campaign and Best Environmental, Social, Governmental (ESG) Initiative.
Telin also secured World Communications Awards (WCA) nominations for categories such as The Beyond Connectivity and People & Culture.
