Bali, 28 August 2024 – Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk’s Commisioner Marcelino Pandin, Wawan Iriawan; President Director Telkom Group – Ririek Adriansyah; Director of Group Business Development - Honesti Basyir; Director of Wholesale and International Services – Bogi Witjaksono; and Telin’s Chief Executive Officer – Budi Satria Dharma Purba, officialy inaugurated the Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) 2024, held at Mangupura Hall, Bali International Convention Center (BICC), The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali, on Wednesday, 28 August 2024.
With the theme "Cultivating The Sustainable Digital Ecosystem" BATIC 2024 reflects the commitment of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), through its subsidiary Telin, to highlights the telecom industry's role in driving sustainable innovation.. This aligns with Telkom's focus on the Business-to- Business (B2B) segment. Telin serves as Telkom's arm for wholesale and international business with 10 global offices and sales representatives in 5 countries.
The annual event spans four days, from August 27-30, 2024, with approximately 1,300 participants representing around 450 global companies from more than 40 countries attending BATIC 2024. This marks the 9th edition of the largest international telecommunications conference in Southeast Asia and beyong
On the first day of BATIC 2024, The conference kicks off on the first day with the theme "Shaping the Future of Global Connectivity," diving into how shifting demands are transforming digital infrastructure across the Indo-Pacific region.
A keynote on "Enabling Indonesia’s Digital Transformation" brought by Ririek Adriansyah, President Director of Telkom Group spotlights key initiatives driving the nation's digital transformation. "Telecommunication companies can leverage technological advancements to provide innovative B2B solutions. Technology will drive data consumption growth, creating opportunities for telecommunications companies to offer robust and high-capacity digital infrastructure. TelkomGroup, through Telin, has a global network that includes 27 Global Subsea Cable Systems with a total length of 250,140 kilometers. Additionally, through NeutraDC, TelkomGroup continues to build data centers in various regions with higher capacity and capabilities to meet AI needs. Nevertheless, all businesses operated by TelkomGroup remain grounded in a commitment to sustainability, aligned with the ESG program that the company has, known as EXIST (ESG Existence for Sustainability by Telkom Indonesia). Furthermore, TelkomGroup continues to explore new business opportunities and is open to collaboration with various parties." he said.
