Telkom Group, in collaboration with its subsidiaries Telin and Telkomsat, hosted a courtesy visit from Telekom Malaysia at Telkom Landmark Tower in Jakarta, focusing on regional collaboration and strengthening partnership.

Jakarta, October 25, 2024Telkom Group, in collaboration with its subsidiaries Telin and Telkomsat, hosted a courtesy visit from Telekom Malaysia at the Telkom Landmark Tower in Jakarta. The visit held in the BMR Room, 36th floor, brought together top executives from both companies to discuss vital opportunities for regional collaboration and strengthen their longstanding partnership. 

The Telekom Malaysia delegation, led by Group CEO Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, included senior executives such as Deputy CFO Ahmad Fairus Rahim, VP Product & Innovation - ⁠⁠Noorhanida Su’ib, and VP International Sales - Baharul Nizam Said Daliman. Representing Telkom Group were the CEORiriek Adriansyah, Director of Wholesale & International Business - Bogi Witjaksono, alongside Telin’s CEO – Budi Satria Dharma Purba, Managing Director of Telin in Malaysia – Taufiq Hussien and Telkomsat’s CEO – Lukman Hakim Abd Rauf and CEO of NeutraDCAndreuw Th.A.F, with both subsidiaries playing key roles in the discussions. 

The agenda featured critical topics, including the discussion on revival of the Dumai-Melaka Cable System (DMCS), which is essential for boosting regional connectivity and supporting hyperscalers between Malaysia and Indonesia. The discussions also covered subsea cable capacity collaborations, such as potential expansion on the PEACE, Bifrost, and SJC cables. Both companies explored reciprocal arrangements that would be mutually beneficial for expanding connectivity in the region. 

Telin, as a subsidiary specializing in international connectivity and infrastructure, took an active role in these discussions. The meeting highlighted the opportunity to further deepen this collaboration. Telin’s ongoing efforts to offer enhanced services via new submarine cables like Bifrost and PEACE were key talking points as well as collaboration in driving solutions to customers in the Global Enterprise segments. 

The meeting also explored potential data center collaborations, particularly between Johor and Batam, aligning with TM’s expansion plans for a 64MW data center in Johor. Furthermore, Telkomsat, through its TSGN (Telkom Satellite Global Network), presented maritime innovations that could provide future synergies with TM’s business lines, focusing on maritime safety and monitoring systems. 

This strategic meeting reinforced the strong partnership between Telkom Group and Telekom Malaysia, setting the stage for further joint initiatives that will enhance digital infrastructure and innovation in Southeast Asia.
