Telkom Indonesia International won Best AKHLAK Implementation at AKHLAK 2024 Telkom Group Culture Festival, recognizing its commitment to values, ethics, and employee contributions to environmental, social, and community causes.

Jakarta, 22 July 2024 - Telkom Indonesia International (Telin), a global leader based in Indonesia and a proud subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia, was recently recognized at the Culture Festival AKHLAK 2024 Telkom Group for its outstanding commitment to upholding values and ethics. Telin secured the prestigious award for Best AKHLAK Implementation in the Subsidiary Category during a vibrant ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel Gandaria City in South Jakarta. 

Telin has consistently demonstrated excellence in fostering a positive corporate culture through a range of innovative programs and initiatives. Budi Satria Dharma Purba, the CEO of Telin, emphasized the company's Culture Implementation Framework known as ACE: Activate, Craft, and Exhibit, which has been instrumental in shaping Telin's organizational culture and values.

 

The foundation for internalizing the AKHLAK culture at Telin is the Culture Policy and Onboarding Program, which are essential in instilling AKHLAK values within the organization. Additionally, Telin has established a Role Map for Culture Implementation, where Role Models including members of the Board of Directors, Managing Directors of Subsidiaries, SVPs, and VPs, serve as Culture Champions and role models for embodying AKHLAK Core Values. These Role Models are supported by Culture Agents or Culture Boosters within their units to enhance the effectiveness of culture implementation. 

To ensure the consistent reinforcement of AKHLAK core values, the role of Culture Facilitator is carried out by the Company's human capital function. Telin actively promotes AKHLAK through the implementation of the Calendar of Culture Action (COCA) on a monthly basis, as well as One Race as a culture dashboard for monitoring progress. The COCA events feature key behaviors that are tailored to be applicable for employees across Telin's global offices, bringing the AKHLAK culture to life through unique themes and activities in all locations worldwide.  

CRAFTED at the second layer, Telin implements cross-cultural management and an Agile working system. Aligned with the core values of BUMN and Telkom, Telin has skillfully translated these principles into universal values embraced by One Telin. By prioritizing the management of cross-cultural dynamics with AKHLAK as the foundation, Telin has articulated values in bilingual and local languages, honoring the unique wisdom of each country. 

Telin has implemented the "AGILE WORKING SYSTEM," a platform that embodies the core values of AKHLAK. While this system is commonly used to drive digital innovations, Telin has also leveraged it to address cross-functional challenges. With a total of 34 Squads comprising 183 of Teliners' top digital talents from various functions and countries, Telin has conducted five batches of Agile Bootcamp since 2022 to cultivate an agile mindset across global offices, complemented by Agile Gamification. 

This strategic approach has resulted in a significant shift from working in silos to promoting collaboration and co-creation, transitioning from top-down directives to team self-organization, streamlining complex processes, and evolving from a slow response to agile change management. These collective endeavors have led to the successful completion of projects with an impressive success rate of up to 80%. 

At the third layer, Telin fosters a "CARING" culture among its employees through the "Telin for Community" initiative, which implements programs with a positive impact on both the community and the business environment, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service. 

Our focus encompasses three key areas: Firstly, ENVIRONMENTAL initiatives have engaged 100 Teliners since 2022 in caring for the environment by planting mangroves and consistently maintaining and monitoring them. Secondly, in the realm of DIGITAL ECONOMY, the SAHABAT PINTAR program has involved 63 dedicated Teliners who voluntarily and actively teach in seven cities across Indonesia, sharing knowledge about digital literacy with the younger generation to foster the development of the digital economy in the country. Since its inception in 2022, the Smart Friends program has benefitted 124 children. 

In addition to these initiatives, Telin champions inclusivity through its TELIN EMPOWHER program, which empowers female employees through career development opportunities, offers job openings to individuals with disabilities, and enforces a Respectful Workplace Policy to foster a more diverse and inclusive work environment. 

Furthermore, Telin demonstrates its commitment to recognizing and appreciating outstanding contributions through awards and acknowledgments. The company honors the Best Units and Culture Agents for their exemplary implementation of cultural values and presents special recognition awards to selected employees who have made significant contributions to environmental, social, and community causes.
