CCO TALKS 2.0 : Navigating Professional Success in the AI Era

Jakarta, 12 August 2024 - COCA July present CCO talks 2.0 “Navigating professional Success in the AI Era : Strategies for Personal Growth and Professional Achievement, held early this week. This event aims to explore the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence and its implications for personal and professional growth. Led by our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Kharisma, the event features an engaging discussion, interactive Q&A session, and a special music performance and quiz challenge.

To learn how AI is changing the workplace, redefining skills, and creating new opportunities for professional growth, this event provides a dynamic platform. An interactive session at the event aims to equip professionals with the knowledge and strategies necessary to thrive in an artificial intelligence (AI) driven world.

The event was opened with a music performance by Telin IBO band and a short picture game to keep the light atmosphere of the whole event. The interactive session itself started off with a special dance performance by Kharisma and some of the committee members. The event mainly consisted of Kharisma with two moderators Biyan and Clairine as a Gen-Z representative who are closer and more relevant with the discussion of AI.

All the three speakers first explained how they will use AI in their daily life, they all have the same relationship with AI where it acts as a tool to use when creating texts in paragraphs and statements to better the language and fit the tone that they want to achieve and convey.

As we all know, when using AI applications (i.e : chatGPT, quilbot, gemini, etc) it can give something that you can consider as better or even perfect and doesn’t represent you. However, there’s no right or wrong answer. By having the perception that AI is better, it shows how you are trying to improve yourself.

Kharisma explained specific qualities that people need and the importance of certain skills which are called essential skills. These essential skills are the following: critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills. There is an emphasis on how AI gives us a result, as the receiver we should always analyze critically the information we receive. Furthermore, the use of AI as the problem identifier and we (the people) become the problem solver. Lastly, leadership skills are one way that can really differentiate humans from AI, by having the compassion and the relationship that AI is not able to have.

One of the Audience asked Kharisma how he was growing his career successfully without AI. Considering his background in engineering in university and working for 7+ years, as he moved to a new position in commercial, he learned new things about sales, corporate finance and even legal terms for understanding the principles for his position. He highlights the need to unlock yourself in your mindset, to improve and grow.

Insights from CCO Talks to Unlock your potential:

How can we use AI as our support unit to unlock our own potential? Do you want to use AI for your daily life? Going somewhere without clear guidance is more interesting than having a clear path. How do you want to see yourself? Do you want to be spontaneous? or well planned? safe? you can optimize the technology you want to use. no right or wrong, use technology as an enabler or as your main tools but what happens if you don’t have that technology?

It all goes back to you and what you want to achieve, when we have our objective then that’s the market, and if you have that vision then you have a career. Your career is not based on a single person, it’s about how you individually have the strategy to show your potential. It all comes down to three different marketing points: Positioning, Differentiation and Branding. Positioning is all about how you segment the stakeholders in your career and choose who you want to target, then it’s about how you sell yourself and how you want to position yourself against other competitors. Differentiation, how you are different from your other peers and improve yourself for the best quality of work in the fastest amount of time. Lastly, Branding refers to how you build your branding in the working environment and how you are recognized by other people.

There will be more enlightening sessions ahead, where Teliners can glean valuable insights for enhanced benefits. Stay tuned!
